Unrestricted Support
If you would like us to apply your contribution to the area where it is currently most needed or to support our overall operation, we welcome your unrestricted gift. Some examples of use of unrestricted funds include program management, communications, talent coordination, facility support and technology infrastructure.

Restricted Support
If you prefer to target your funds to one or more of our three initiatives, examples of activities supporting our mission areas of Promote IT, Teach IT and Grow IT are described below, along with some cross-initiative opportunities.

Promote IT
IT-oLogy works with K-12 schools to encourage the best and brightest young people and their parents and educators to learn more about the IT profession.

Virtual Job Shadows Developing Virtual Job Shadows, which play an important role in IT career exploration for young people who may or may not have access to onsite job shadows  $6,500
Student as Professional Connecting high school students with professionals on an IT project meeting the need of a local non-profit, while providing valuable insight about IT roles and careers $10,000
cyberIQ A grassroots campaign and workshop series to encourage middle schoolers to surf the cyber world safely and to educate parents on the importance of cyber safety $2,500
Computer Camps Enabling multi-day, hands-on camps for high school students, who will learn from university volunteers how to build computers, develop applications and learn programming $20,000
Educator Field Studies Developing repeatable field studies for K-12 educators and counselors, informing them about IT topics and enabling them to become effective advocates for IT careers $2,500


Teach IT
In collaboration with IT-oLogy, companies work with colleges and universities on applied business research projects and internship programs that strengthen and align classroom skills to current and future IT business needs.

Internships Enabling valuable experiential learning opportunities through assisting companies to develop internship programs and facilitating matching of students to project opportunities $5,000
Campus Relations Increasing awareness of IT careers through participation in career fairs and campus visits throughout the Southeast, connecting talent to internship programs and educating professors and career counselors on IT careers $5,000
Mainframe Academic Initiative Supporting the environment housing the IBM system z mainframe which provides valuable mainframe experience for students at colleges throughout the Southeast $10,000


Grow IT
IT-oLogy partners with IT professionals and their companies to provide innovative and life-long learning and professional development opportunities.

Development Opportunities Working with partner companies and organizations to plan and conduct effective professional development programs, conferences and events $10,000


Cross-Initiative Opportunities

Open IT Lab Supporting programs involving open source software, hardware and content through funding of related equipment and program development $10,000
The Portal Enabling The Portal, an exciting space where students and professionals can release creative energy while learning through interaction with and development of gaming software. Sponsorship will help fund related equipment/furnishings, a green screen system and gaming program development. $20,000
Forum Naming Rights Naming rights for the versatile and popular three-section Forum area $10,000
Distance-Learning Classroom Naming Rights Naming rights for the 50-seat distance learning classroom $40,000
Theater Naming Rights Naming rights for the impressive 200-seat theater $50,000
